'Cybersikkerhed for bestyrelser' ver. 4.0
October 26th 2022, 14.30 - 17.00
Radiorådssalen, 14th floor
A new version of 'Cybersikkerhed for bestyrelser'
Bestyrelsesforeningen’s ‘Center for Cyber Kompetencer’ publishes a new guide with concrete recommendations for top management’s strategic risk management of cyber security. The guidance is the result of a comprehensive update of the existing guidance (originally published in 2019) carried out with some of the most experienced experts and advisers within board work and cyber security in Denmark.
The guidance is an expression of best practices and reflects the new legal requirements, including the NIS2 directive, which sets a new framework for management’s and companies’ risk management. The guide is an easy, operational and clear reference work with all the most important things you should know about cyber security.
Everything in our society and companies is digitized – this makes us vulnerable. The unstable geopolitical situation has greatly increased the cyber threat – also for Danish companies. More than ever before, there is a need for a management-based strategy in cyber security and a general understanding of how cyber risks must be articulated and managed – both technically, operationally and organizationally as well as financially and legally. The guide will answer these questions.
At this conference, the main elements of the guide’s recommendations for management’s cyber security strategy are presented. This is done together with an update on the threat picture in light of Russia’s war against Ukraine and the latent threat to Denmark, and an introduction to the upcoming (ambitious and comprehensive) EU regulation in the cyber area (primarily NIS2 and DORA). We have also invited a company that was recently exposed to a cyber attack to share their experiences – both what they would have liked to have done differently and what they did right in a crisis situation.
The target group is board members and executive board members as well as lawyers, risk and compliance officers, IT directors, CISOs, project managers and others with an interest in cyber security.
The conference is part of Bestyrelsesforeningen’s national project: strengthening strategic cyber skills for Danish companies. With support from Industriens Fond, the aim is to gather the best efforts to reach out to board members with knowledge of and best practice advice and guidance for handling cyber security, cyber risk and cyber governance. There is a focus on both opportunities and risks in a digital age.
